Grade 2 students can experience varieties of PEI apples while also meeting Health, Science, Social, and Mathmatics curriculum outcomes with the Exploring Apples Program. Students wull sample 4 different apples varieties grown in PEI, learn how apples are grown through a virtual farm tour as well as learn about research done on apples here in PEI. Teachers can create opportunities for developing competencies such as Communication, Critical Thinking, Personal Career Development, Citizenship, Connections, Mental Mathematics and Estimation, Vusualization and Reasoning while meeting curriculum outcomes in Health Educaiton, science, Socual Studies nad Mathematics.
